WHAT IS A FAMILY GROUP?

It is a group made up of 4 to 12 people, who meet to:

• Pray for one another.

• Study the word of God.

• Share your experiences in the Christian life.

The main purpose of family groups is to bring the word of God into homes, so that the brothers and sisters who are part of this group can share the gospel message with their family and friends who have not yet received the Lord Jesus as their Savior. In other words, the main purpose of family groups is to share the word of God with non-believers.

And the second purpose is to care for the spiritual growth of the members of the family group through communion among brothers, prayer, and the preaching of the word of God.

I would also like to talk to you about the people and their roles that revolve around the meeting.

The leader: The leader is the person responsible for ensuring the spiritual growth of the people who make up the family group. The church prepares the leader with basic knowledge about the care and attention related to the work they perform.

Host: is the person who lends his or her home during the time that the family gathering is taking place.

Cell members: These are the brothers and sisters who are responsible for inviting their family and friends to attend the meeting with them and learn the gospel message.
